Time as Our Adversary 

In the error of our perception of time

lies our greatest adversary -

to do or not to do,

to be or not to be,

to engage or to walk away,

to conquer or to secede,

to choose more or to accept less,

to take that risk or to play it safe.

Time waits not for your decision

and cries not for your caution.

Though she whisper, nudge, and remind,

the choice to embrace her limitedness comes down to a recognition of your own mortality, a passionate awareness of her precious gifts, and an unwillingness to settle for being less than everything you were meant to be.
