Quiet Within

Beautiful quiet that now empties me of the day's rush and unrest,

envelop me in your still surrender,

center me in joyous union with all that is,

fill me with prayers of contentedness,

breathe into me your peace.

Beautiful serenity that refills my heart with love and faith,

hear what I know not how to ask,

assuage the fears I do not speak,

whisper to me in comforting intuition,

overflow my being with blessing's gratitude.

For I am now as the slate washed clean of all that matters not,

and as the empty vessel refilled with compassion and clarity,

ready and waiting to be cascaded, like millions of tiny particles of hope,

into a cosmos in need of love's healing promise.
